# 7.7.3 Downtime Entry Issue

When a line is down for several hours no interruptions, the downtime is polling every hour to add a new instance of downtime. This means for a 12 hour shift with 1 continuous downtime event, the report will show 12 occurrences. This is adding work to end user, any one have any ideas if there’s a work around for this?
