v8.1.50 Since upgrading to 50, I've noticed in the designer I have issues renaming and deleting perspective custom properties and components. I sometimes see deleted custom properties re-appear, and name changes reverting or affecting different props/components. The problem with disappearing session props is worse in 50 too. That's not new to .50. It's been around for awhile, but i've never been able to reliabily duplicate it. Re-opening the project seems to "fix" it.. until it happens again. ---

I had some problems with disappearing session props in earlier versions, but not the renaming issue that I remember. Maybe I was just lucky. Both are worse in 50 in my experience. I can fix it like you mentioned, close and open the project, and sometimes I can just re-open the view. ---

At least you maybe have figured out how to duplicate it. Not sure if there's a bug report for it yet.. ---

It's hit or miss on reproducing. I think it might stem from copying items and using duplicate in part, too. ---

I have that issue from time to time on older versions, it appears when I do a lot of changes to a view. It seems to fix it if you just close and reopen that view. I've had it appear as renaming one object and it renames another instead. Or I set a props value and it goes somewhere else, sometimes even on a different object. Since it can affect other objects unexpectedly I immediately just close and reopen the view and then unfortunately check for any inadvertent changes. ---

I have found that part of the renaming issues stem from bindings. Trying to rename a property that is used in a binding will auto-generate a property with the old name to keep the binding valid or rejects the new name completely. I assume this behavior is intentional.
