# Alarm History/Summary column data modification

hi,

Is it possible to modify, truncate/substring the text of a standard column in the alar history and summary components? I would like to remove the first bit of characters to shorted up the Source path.

Since it's a standard component it seems to have less access or I just don't know where to access the data.
