Ignition 7.9.7

I’m attempting to create an Alarm Journal, and simply bind the start/end dates on a date range/calendar/popup component. I can drag the component on the window, save and publish, and all looks good. However, when I make a property change binding (date, name, enable…) the journal overlay comes up reporting bad quality, and all data is lost from the display on the client. If I undo the action/remove the binding, the journal is still broken and I need to pull out a whole new journal component.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? I can’t think of anything I’m missing on my end, but it’s possible. Any suggestions?
