Hi all,

I'm seeing some unexpected behaviour with alarm shelving in Ignition.

The [system.alarm.shelve](https://www.docs.inductiveautomation.com/docs/8.3/appendix/scripting-functions/system-alarm/system-alarm-shelve) documentation states:

> If an alarm is already shelved, this will overwrite the remaining time.

To test this, I shelved an alarm for **12 hours** and then re-shelved it for **1 hour.** The expiry time in the **Alarm Status Table** updated to reflect the new 1-hour duration, so it appears the re-shelve request was accepted. However, once the 1-hour period elapsed, the alarm remained shelved instead of automatically unshelving.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is there something I'm missing about how re-shelving works?

As a workaround, I can manually unshelve before re-shelving, but I wouldn't expect that to be necessary based on the documentation.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!
