# Apple OSX 10.10

Hi!  
Ignition won’t start if you have Java 8.25 installed in OSX 10.10.  
Ignition seems to need a minor Java version (7.71?).  
Any solutions?

This error was from the wrapper log? Can you upload the log?

Hi James,  
No - it didn’t come from there.  
Actually I uninstalled Java 8 and installed Java 7.  
Problem remains.  
When I try to startup ignition (From Terminal \*)there’s a Java window with comment “Java Run-time should be installed…” while it is installed.  
I mean, Ignition demo starts and run ok. This is same with both of Java versions.  
\*) In terminal with basic command “ignition start” there’s reply “Starting Ignition Gateway” and “Waiting for Ignition Gateway” while nothing really happens. With sudo command the reply is the same and it tries to start with Java window comments.

I’m not too familiar with osx terminal and don’t know if there is a log somewhere. Maybe you can tell me?  
I try to attach few screens from start up sequence…

Ignition runs fine on OS X with Java 8 - there’s something else wrong here.

You’ll need to attach or send us the wrapper.log file to figure out why it’s not starting for you.

It works now. After installing Java 8 JDK!  
Not JRE…  
That is all I’ve done here.
