Hi all

I’ve just come across a new project involving an old and reliable system: the **AS/400**. It’s been around forever and contains libraries, which in turn contain files, data queues (DATAQs), and programs.

I’m wondering—can **Ignition** interact directly with the **DATAQ** objects on the AS/400?

I’ve successfully set up a database connection from Ignition to the AS/400. However, when I try to load tables using the **Database Query Browser** , I get a **read timeout** error.

Do any of you have experience with this or any ideas about what might be going wrong? I’m starting to think I may have misunderstood how the AS/400 works.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

BR,
