# Bad fonts rendering on Ubuntu

I’m developing a **Vision** project on Ubuntu 22 with Ignition **8.1.17 (b2022051210)**. What I’m experincing is a very bad font rendering quality in the Designer:

and in the menu of each page

(texts with a _Dialog Plain_ font seem not to be affected).

Are there any Ignition/OS settings which could improve font rendering?

In the Designer Launcher configure the launch targets to have this JVM argument:

```auto
-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on

```

Will this work on windows (with v7.9.18)? My fonts all look fine except in the expression binding editor:
