# Barcode Scanner Input Component for Keyboard Input

Is it possible to configure the barcode scanner input component to register keyboard input without requiring a prefix and suffix? So far if I leave the prefix and suffix blank nothing comes through in the data property. If I put a suffix and prefix and type that on my computer before and after I type my string it will register in the data.
