# Barcode Scanner to PLC Tag

Hello,

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the barcode scanner input to work.

It is working with the prefix and suffix, and I am accumulating values on the screen inside the barcode filed, however I cannot figure out how to write any of those values into another tag for the PLC to see that input.

It would be a massive help if someone could help me figure out how to do this.

Are you using the Sepasoft Barcode Scanner Module for Vision?

I am using the built in Barcode Scanner Input component for Perspective

Also to add, it is working fantastic following the tutorial when using a mobile phone. It is able to update the tag and everything.

The problem is I cannot get it to work with the one designed for a actual barcode scanner that is giving text inputs.

I’m not very familiar with perspective yet, so I can’t really say much. Hopefully, someone else will chime in.
