Hi,
So I have made changes to about 80 vision pages and templates in the Dev designer we have. I would like to push my changes to Prod. Usually since we only change one thing at a time we would simply take the new page and put it in prod the change would apply immediatly, but that seems like it would take a while for all the changes that have been made. We were thinking about simply renaming Dev for Prod and change the Prod for Dev so that all the changes could happen at the same time and were wondering if this was a good idea. We’d like to know what would be the best way to do this.

Thank you!

Could you take a gateway backup of your dev setup then restore it to the production server?

Given that they dev/prod use different database connections I’d be wary of a full gateway backup.

However you can export and import full projects on the gateway page and try that. You can also try exporting the whole project and importing it via designer.

In my case, what I do is “Export and Import” as @bkarabinchak.psi suggested, but in a staging project on the production server/environment. I ensure everything works, and, withing the Designer, I then select what I want, “Export” -\> “Send to Project” from the staging to the real project
