I need to verify the location of a mobile Ignition client before I allow that client to control a specific piece of equipment on the plant floor. I have seen the ACP Thin Manager demo where a Bluetooth transmitter connects to an iPAD verifying the users location and launching the required control screen. I am looking to replicate this functionality more or less with Ignition, anyone have any success with a similar problem statement? Any recommendation for Bluetooth transmitters?

Thanks
Chris

I think you would need a custom-developed iPad app to make this possible. The mobile client runs in a browser and doesn’t have access to much of anything, much less a third-party bluetooth location dongle.
