# \[BUG-12648\] Ctrl+dragging component auto-re-selects original not clone

Sorry me again… you might be able to tell that I’m currently full steam developing in 8.0 😄

When I ctrl+drag a component to clone it, the original object is re-selected rather than the clone being selected. This isn’t intuitive behaviour and is different from v7. This is particularly annoying when cloning multiple objects!

Yes, this was found internally as well and will function correctly in 8.0.1.
