# \[BUG -12995\] Not able to add templates to a vision Window

I just had some time to try a new version (on b2019030102 now), and apparently, I can’t add templates to the windows or other templates.

I’ve tried it both on the “global” project and a specific project. When I drag-and-drop a template to a window, I just get the “forbidden” cursor, and can’t put it there.

This even happens with newly created, empty, templates and windows.

Hi Sanderd17

The functionality seems to work fine in 7.9 you are able to drag and drop a template onto a window  
however, in 8.0 it doesn’t seem to work right. Will write an internal ticket to track the issue and add it to our backlog as soon as possible.

This issue was fixed in the build that was uploaded yesterday (3/26). Please let us know if you continue to see this behavior after upgrading.

Hello, I got same problem. Make own simple button template. And I can not add (drag and drop) into Windows (Vision). Did I do something wrong? I am a new user. I am using 8.1.38 version

Hello An\_Pham, try right clicking on the Template you would like to place into a vision window, select "Use In Window" then select the window you would like to place it in and left click. Hope that works!
