# \[BUG-1512\] SimpleGauge color props do not accept "named colors" from theme variables

Has anyone found a solution for this yet, or is it on the radar of IA to be fixed?  
I can't seem to use my css theme variables in the SimpleGauge component. Version 8.1.38.

edit: I see [BUG-1512] now, can we see the progress on this somewhere?
