# \[BUG\] Dragging tag property onto component property binds value instead of the property dragged

v8.1.18

For example, if you try to drag the “CanWrite” property of a tag onto a component property to bind it, it binds the value of the tag instead.

I think you can only set Tag Drop behaviors at the Tag level - not the attribute level. You can dictate which properties the Tag attributes get bound to of the component being dropped, but the component being dropped is dependent on the value of the Tag. Could you share your Tag Drop configuration for the component in question?

I think nminchin doesn't talk about setting the Tag Drop, there is an option to map a particular attribute of a tag. But he is talking about dragging the tag attribute directly to a specific property of an existing component. I have a problem with that, always when I make it map to me only value.
