# \[BUG\] Perspective Dropdown searchParam not writing with Event Script

I am using Ignition 8.1.1 and want to assign a value based off the searchParam in the perspective dropdown. It appears like the searchParam is not recognized by any Events’ script.

You can add a change event script to the searchParam preopty itself. Right click on the property and select add change script

Tried modifying the value of searchParam using property change script and the search param “A-075” does exist in list of options but not searching.
