Powerchart properties specific to modes (`xTrace`, `panAndZoom`, etc) are hidden from the `props/interaction/` menu if their `mode` is not the selected one. However, they ARE still attached, and sometimes applied, to the chart. This, in itself, is intentional behavior: [Perspective: PowerChart Component - Config - Hidden Properties or Missing Properties ( 8.1.0 ) - #2 by paul-griffith](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/perspective-powerchart-component-config-hidden-properties-or-missing-properties-8-1-0/41223/2), however, it can quickly lead to undesirable behavior.

In particular, `xTrace`'s infobox and line can appear even when the `xTrace` mode is not selected. Without switching the editor's mode to `xTrace`, the properties to disable these are hidden from the editor. In addition, since buttons allowing clients to change modes are possible to enable, the configuration of these modes should not be hidden from the editor. This means clients can end up in unconfigured chart modes easily, if the mode switching is left enabled.

### Steps to reproduce

1. Add powerchart to a view
2. Switch to live mode
3. Add a data source and switch to xtrace mode
4. Click the plot go add a line
5. switch back to panAndZoom mode

### Expected behavior

The xTrace elements are removed from the graph, and/or attributes that remain can be edited through the property editor.

### Actual behavior

The xTrace elements remain on the graph, and the attributes for them are hidden from the editor.

Actual bug reports need to be made in a support ticket, if you want them seen reliably. This forum is mostly volunteers, including volunteer IA staff, and is not support (for most cases).

I wouldn't call this a bug; more so undesired designed behaviour. I agree that it's annoying that the unselected mode configs aren't shown. You shouldn't need to select the mode you're after to configure it while designing it

As such, I'd put this on the ideas portal and post here for visibility for more votes
