# Bulk tag renaming

I am a relatively new Ignition user but am looking at potential applications where thousands of tags may be implemented. Is there a way that tags can be renamed in bulk?

I’ve looked into the export/import tags functionality however as the tagname is the identifying attribute, any changes to the name will just create new tags.

Any suggestions would be great!
