Is there a way to make the size of a docked view be “auto” instead of a defined size? I would like to be able to just utilize the native size of the view being docked.

I am keen on having an answer to this as well.
That would give much more flexibility.

There is an open feature to allow for supplying any sort of text value (and numeric would default to pixels), but the feature has been waylaid by important fixes multiple times. The current behavior will only accept a numeric value, and it will always apply that value in pixels.
