# Cannot move or delete a tag

Ignition version 7.6.4  
I have created a tag in the wrong place in the sql tags hierachy. If I try to move the tag or delete the tag it disappears from the tag directory but is not visible where I want it. If I try to recreate it the system tells me it already exists. If I stop and re-start the gateway there the tag is in its original place. Help !!

I recall some quirks in the tag browser in older versions… Refreshing the folder after each operation helped. Consider upgrading to at least 7.6.7 – these problems seem to have been fixed there.
