# Column Container

Is it possible to add more columns in the perspective column container?

The reason I ask is that I dont want my buttons or graphs etc touching the extreme sides, when I bring it in one column it leaves a good 1.5" when accessing via desktop.

No, it’s not - but rather than try to add placeholder columns, you can just add `marginLeft` and `marginRight` to the column container itself:

That worked thank you, along with marginTop and marginBottom.  
But, the margin is white, how do I change its color? I’ve tried a few variations of possible things but none that worked.

Use a border instead of a margin; either using the customizer and different style elements or as a one-liner:
