# Communication with older PLC5/80E

I am using an older PLC5/80E series D rev A. This does not allow communication with Ignition OPC driver under v8.0.16. I have solved the problem by replacing the PLC5 with a series E.

Is there a solution from Ignition that handles this version issue with the PLC5?
