# Control Click to open new Tab

Is it possible to implement alternative click "Control Click" on Link to open page in new tab?  
instead of current tab.

Thank you IA Support:

I had to use button component since link component will inheritly do the click action regardless.

Inside onClick Script:

```auto
def runAction(self, event):
	path = "/devices"
	if event.ctrlKey == True:
		system.perspective.navigate(page=path, newTab=True)
	else:
	    system.perspective.navigate(page=path, newTab=False)

```
