# Create a Pdf File

`system.report.execute()` with give you the PDF of a report as bytes, which you can then write to a file or deliver as you please. `system.report.executeAndDistribute` can do some of those delivery possibilities on your behalf.

The starting point is always a report definition. Ignition does not have any other way to make PDF files.
