Hi, im currently writing a smaller application to parse a print out from Simatic (mainly datablocks)
to convert it into a xml-file to import in ignition.

However, i cannot seem to figure out the struct-parts and how/where the {offset} comes from or are set at by looking in [sqltags.xml](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/inductiveautomation/original/2X/8/85a2eec5a40e313e172a9dd0f908f6d03000838a.xml) (79 KB)

The more normal tags, are much easier to understand and convert to from the simatic format.

Hi Stefan,

There’s a similar thread? A lot of dry and non-useful stuff at the beginning, but if you start [around here](https://inductiveautomation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45292#p45292), this gives some stuff that may actually help you out. I was working with Anton on a script that grabs an ASCII export and generates the XML file for alarms.
