# DataTypes properties are empty and instances created as a folder after Upgrade

Good Afternoon.

I have updated from Ignition **7.9.9** to Ignition **8.0.6** and I have noticed that some **properties** of the tags of the _DataTypes_ are **empty** and some instances are created as **folders**.

For example: “Moldeadora” is a _DataType_ and “Estado” is an instance of another _DataType_ (“Maquina\_Estado”). As you can see in the image, in Ignition 7, the “ **OPC item Path** ” of the tag “Comunicando\_Intranet” is filled, but in Ignition 8 it is **empty** :

Other example: “Moldeadora\_Alarmas” is a _DataType_ and “Alarma\_001” is an instance of another _DataType_ (“Moldeadora\_Alarma”). As you can see in the image, in Ignition 7, the “ **Value** ” of the tag “Descripcion\_Alarma” is filled, but in Ignition 8 it is **empty** :

Another problem: Some instances of _DataTypes_ are created as **folders** in Ignition 8. For example, “Alarma\_009” is an instance of “Moldeadora\_Alarma”, but it appears as a folder:
