# Design launcherh

I installed ignition 8.1.20 but when i start design launcher it doesn't work

Why? That version is ancient and unsupported.

I uninstalled 8.1.20 and installed 8.1.26  
But i still have the same error i use windows 10

That second gateway is on a link-local auto-generated address. It would require you to open ports in or disable the Windows firewall.

Or are you trying to use two gateways in one machine?

Status: INCOMPATIBLE is returned for Ignition _7_ gateways, or 'dev' builds.

I try to start design launcher i stop fire wall and try to start it dosent start

Consider taking a gateway backup, then uninstalling everything. Make sure the Inductive Automation folder under Program Files is completely gone. Then do a fresh install and commissioning. Then load and test the designer. Then restore the gateway backup and test the designer again.
