# Designer issue - can't switch between modules

Hi,

I continue to have a problem where I often can’t switch between Reports/Windows/Global modules in Designer. I am on 7.8.2. The issue occurs most often when either reports or global modules (production model/alarm pipelines) are open, but it also sometimes occurs when I am in transaction groups. Basically, once I am in one of those modules, it won’t let me switch to any others - I have to restart Designer… Thoughts?

Java Version: Oracle Corporation 1.8.0\_73

I’ve run into this a few times myself. If it continues to happen, please make note of whatever you were doing at the time - if it’s possible for you to do, consider calling in to Support so we can take a look and see what the root cause could be.
