# Disable Edge License Through Scripting

I am looking at providing an edge device on a rental basis to a customer and then host his application in the cloud. They are a small customer with minimal IT support and are looking for a means of getting some specific data off of their plant floor. I would like a means of remotely disabling the edge device licensing if they decide to no longer maintain this arrangement. I was thinking of using a watchdog arrangement with my server and then disabling if it doesn’t see home in a certain period of time. I am just not sure of a means of accomplishing this.
