# Dock view onDemand/Handle Show Bug

Ignition Perspective 8.1.52

I was attempting to add a small view as an onDemand dock on the left/west side, with handle set to “show”. The handle will not show unless the dock is set to “visible”.

But as soon as I make the same dock with settings on the bottom/south dock (onDemand, visible handle) then it all works correctly. I don’t think there is anything I’m missing but wanted to throw this out on the forum before classifying this as a verified bug.
