Hello, I am new to Ignition and Docker and trying to get a 7.9 system running in Docker. I was able to successfully get everything working from the Docker side and I can access the gateway from a browser, however, I am not able to launch Designer due to Java being deprecated. I read about other Java containers in Docker being available and started going down a rabbit hole. Has anyone successfully got Designer 7.9 to work and what did you use?

Just download the native launcher from the home page of that Ignition Gateway and launch the Designer that way.
