# Does Ignition Gateway have a communication monitor from Edge Node to End Device?

I want to observe the communication from an Edge Node to a RTU.

- I want to see the communication when the Edge Node executes a command (Like a setpoint change) to a Emerson FB3000.

Does Ignition Gateway v8.1.36 have communication monitor, to see traffic to/from edge node to RTU?

No. Ignition does not provide that. It is relatively easy to do if wireshark is installed on the edge node. (`tshark` from the command line via an SSH connection is what I typically do.)
