When you drag a tag onto a component's property, it automatically creates a tag binding on that property with the format "[tagProvider]folder/tagName". Is there any way to change the drag and drop binding format to just be "folder/tagName" and not include the tag provider?

It's kind of complicated why the format matters for our particular case, so I'm not going to include the reasoning in the post, but I can if someone would like to know.

You asked this yesterday, over here:

[https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/can-you-exclude-tag-provider-when-you-use-drag-and-drop-to-bind-a-tag-to-a-property/72038](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/can-you-exclude-tag-provider-when-you-use-drag-and-drop-to-bind-a-tag-to-a-property/72038)

Double posting is against this [forum's rules](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/faq). Bumping a post (once) after a few days is the acceptable way to get more attention.

Phil I'm going to re-open this because I just deleted his other post at his request.

@Davis_Hatrel Phil is right though, maybe editing the old one would have been a better move.

My apologies, I couldn't figure out how to delete it first, and I didn't think about just editing the original post.
