Hi,

is there an option to create a dropdown props parameter? interface parameter uses booleans and for proper functionality, you can only choose one. Dropdown here would be such a great feature.

That doesn't look like the native dropdown. What are you using?

It is a native 8.3 dropdown of Object prop with Value members.

What I would like to achieve, to have a prop called interface, which would be a dropdown with only one option to choose. Probably not achievable, because I haven't found any info about it, but doesn't hurt to ask 🙂

My first thought is that perhaps you could achieve this functionality by using a single parameter that accepts an input integer. Then, you can pass a number between 0 - N, where N is the number of choices you planned to provide within your drop-down menu.

For example, define a (value-type) parameter called "interface" that will receive a number between 0-3, where each integer represents one of your four "options":

`0 received >> "circuitMK3" selected`
`1 received >> "circuitMK4" selected`
`2 received >> "master" selected`
`3 received >> "slave" selected`

Anything else \>\> Invalid Entry (Fallback)

Then, if you want/need to correspond these four "states" to four individual boolean variables, simply define your four booleans under the view's "Custom Properties" (_not_ "Params"), and then add a property binding to each one. So for your first choice/boolean, "circuitMK3",that would look like:

`Custom Properties >> "circuitMK3" >> Configure Binding...`
`Property Binding >> Tie to "interface" parameter`
`Add Transform >> Map Transform`
`Input == 0 >> Output == true`
`Fallback == false`

Then, copy and paste this binding to your other three custom booleans, and modify the "input value" in the mappings such that each boolean corresponds to a different "interface" value (0-3 in this case).

If you set it up this way, and make sure that each unique input value maps to only _one_ boolean variable (each boolean representing one of your "choices"), then you should achieve a structure that only allows 1 out of N choices (booleans) to be selected (true) at any given point in time.

This is a, semi-regularly, requested feature. Some examples below:

I would like to add a parameter drop down to the template so that people can embed the view and click a drop down to select a valid option from a list when passing parameters in the designer. I don't think that's currently a feature but I figured I'd ask here because someone here will know if that's possible.

It will be implemented at some stage in the future... fingers crossed!
