I have a template that represents a part moving down a conveyor. I want to add and remove instances dynamically and animate them moving between stations. Can this animation be accomplished with a template canvas? If not, can instances be added and removed without a template canvas?

As long as you don’t mind that the instances restart when you move them, a template canvas can do this. Simply regularly recreate your driving dataset with the instances and coordinates needed.
