# Easy Chart - Does not update with "Chart Mode Manual"

Good afternoon.

I am using Ignition **8.1.10** and I have noticed that the “ **Easy Chart** ” with “ **Chart Mode Manual** ” does not update automatically. After opening the window, no more values ​​are drawn.  
For example, it is now 12:54 and the last value is 12:38.

What are your bindings for your Start Date and End Date? If you don’t use an expression that updates like [now()](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/now), then the data will not update. [Here](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/Date+and+Time) are some other useful [Date and Time](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/Date+and+Time) expressions that may be helpful.

Hello. Thanks for the reply.

I have bound StartDate and EndDate to the start and end of the working day.

I don’t see a need for the dates to change for the data to update. The component could automatically refresh every 5 seconds, for example, or when the tag changes value.

But it doesn't, and never has except in realtime mode. Some property has to change to trigger refresh. Change something every five seconds.
