Hello,

I am experiencing two issues in the Ignition Vision Easy Chart after enabling historian logging on one of my tags. I have attached screenshots/figures that show both issues clearly.

### **Issue 1 – Value does not update instantly on the chart**

When I change the tag value from **0 to 10,000** , the Easy Chart does not jump directly to the new value.
Instead, it slowly increases in small steps (for example: 0 → 20 → 24.5 → …) until it approaches the target value. However, in the database, the correct value **is logged immediately** (for example: 10000 is stored instantly when I change 0 → 10000).

**Note : Refer figure 1 for issue 1**

**Figure : 1**

### **Issue 2 – Decimal drift when setting small values**

When I change the value from **0 to 10,000** , the chart should show exactly **10,000**.
Instead, it shows drifting value like **9,119.232** , **9,118.213** , etc.

The value does not remain fixed at the number I set, even though the historian logs the exact value correctly.

**Note : Refer figure 2 for issue 2**

### **Figure 3: Refer to my tag configuration and the historian-enabled configuration**

You need to configure your analog tag Deadband style from Auto to Discrete to prevent the interpolated value you are seeing. It seems counterintuitive, but it’s a usual step when configuring analog tags.

This doesn't appear to be an issue anymore in v8.3

@robertm I went ahead and changed the tag’s **Deadband Style** from **Auto** to **Discrete** as you suggested. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
