We are developing a stand-alone HMI panel using Ignition Edge Panel. Development is fine…until we try to configure users and/or roles. Systems will not let us add either one. When we try, it locks up the browser for a bit, then we have to close browser and cannot get back into the Gateway Configuration or the Designer until we reboot the PC the Edge Gateway is running on. Any suggestions or work-arounds?
(side note - the above described was using the default user source. Also cannot add users to a new user source. In the Gateway settings, Allow User Admin is checked.
Thanks

Can you get a thread dump from the gateway (using the gateway control utility) when this is happening?

Please see attached thread dump.

Thank you for your assistance with this.

What Ignition version is this? There’s contention for the internal database that I haven’t seen before, or at least don’t recognize.

What type of user source are you using - internal, database, AD?

This is Ignition Edge, v7.9.13. Running on a Win 10 Pro, x86, Java v1.8.0\_231-b11. Running on a VMWare vm. User source is the default internal.

Can you call into/contact support? This is pretty concerning, so it would be good to get a live view of your system, if that’s possible.
