# Ephemeral port exhaustion with 8.0.3 and 8.0.4

Happens with 8.0.3 rc2 and 8.0.4 nightly, OS is windows server 2016, both with designer and the vision client launcher. See the attached video for an example of what happens. Looking at netstat -a shows thousands of connections to 127.0.0.1:8088 in TIME\_WAIT state, and the error message is “connecting to localhost:8088: address already in use: connect”. This seems to happen almost instantaneously if the (Vision) window currently open has many components with SQL bindings, otherwise it’s slower (but still happens eventually).

Downgrading to 8.0.2 makes the problem go away.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. A fix is in place and will be in the final version of 8.0.3.
