# Error running function "runAction(self, event)"

I have a simple script that is supposed to read the value from a dropdown component and print that value to the console. I get an error when I try to execute the script. This is on a view in a Perspective window.

Are you encountering this error when running in a Session, or are you encountering it in Preview mode? Did you happen to change the component name since your last save?

While running the same code (albeit with different Component names), I did not encounter your issue.

Also, I would recommend against using `print` - use `system.util.getLogger('<logger_name_here>').info('<your_text_here>')` instead.
