# Error Setting Up SMTP Profile Version 8.0.3 TLS V1.2

Trying to setup and test emails today and getting the following error  
javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: 421 4.7.66 TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are not supported. Please upgrade/update your client to support TLS 1.2. Is there a way I can update to use TLS 1.2 or do I need to upgrade to a higher version?

I think you'll need to upgrade to at least 8.0.6, where a change related to TLS 1.2 for email was released.

If you're license allows, you should upgrade to the latest 8.1.x release. Otherwise the latest 8.0.x release.
