# Error when launching Vision Client

I am getting this error when attempting to launch the client from the Designer:

`09:10:10.314 [DesignerExecEngine-4] ERROR Vision.DesignerModule -- Java process launch failed with error code 1:no other information is available`

I cleared the launcher cache associated with this gateway and still had no success. Attempting to launch the client from the Vision Client Launcher resulted in a silent failure. What is error code 1 and how can I prevent it when launching the Client?

Open the launcher log file. Look at the last line where the launcher actually runs java with the actual project. Copy that command lines, excluding `nohup` and the redirection at the end, and run it in a terminal. So you can see following errors.
