# Expression Function Help

I’m new to Ignition and would like to find detailed help on the Expression Functions (like BinEnc and BinEnum, etc) .

I searched the KB and the Forums but didn’t find anything. I probably am not searching for the correct terms.

See the user manuals, in Appendix B

For example, this [link](http://www.inductiveautomation.com/support/usermanuals/ignition/gen_logic_binenc.htm) is about bitEnc function
