# Expression modify restart gateway

When developing the expression module, every time you modify the code, reinstall the module will not reload the expression. You need to restart the gateway. Is there a method not to restart the gateway

If used in tags, you probably need to restart the tag provider. Or individual tags. Vision and Perspective should both pick up the change. In what part of Ignition are you seeing this behavior?

Modification of expression parameters or other modifications will only call the function before modification

I think restarting the tag or tag provider is your only option for now.
