# Extract mark text from easy chart

Something is in the back of my mind that this has been asked before, but I just can’t find it.

Any way to extract this text?

The read-only “selectedXValue” property contains the date/time string in both X-Trace and Marker modes. That might be a start. My NoteChart and EasyNoteChart components also offer that data as a true Date object in their ‘traceTS’ properties. And writeable.

selectedXValue is the piece I’m looking for. It was only under my nose, where I couldn’t see it!
