Hi, I downloaded and installed ignition 8.0.6 on my Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra.
2hr demo is currently started.
So I logged on to my gateway and grabbed the Designer Launcher for Mac and its all "
“Designer Launcher” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.
"
Have others found a solution? Is the problem that the app was ‘compiled’ by my machine? Is there a generic Designer Launcher that is from an identified developer?

After you try to open it you can go to System Preferences \> Security and Privacy and click “Open Anyway”:

Can I make an improvement suggestion for a later version, that you can download a Designer Launcher from an identified developer? I feel so unclean bypassing security features like that.

It’s even worse if you’re on Catalina 🙃

I think you have to also specifically right-click \> open on Catalina, and not just double-click.

Getting the launcher ~~signed and~~ notarized is something I think we’re working on.
