It would be great if the existing DateTime Input and DateTime Picker components could be modified to allow selecting a datetime range in the one component. E.g. Select Start date and then End date, and change start/end times if needed as well, all in the one calendar interface. It's a lot more intuitive for users to select a date range from one interface rather than have to use two Input components and have to navigate to the right month/year in each, independently.

Bonus features:

- **highlight "today"!**
- highlight other days with custom styling, tooltips, icons, based on an array of params

Idea:

I know you're asking about the _existing_ components, but there is [Perspective Date Range Picker](https://inductiveautomation.com/exchange/2790/overview) by Jeremy Plunkett on the Ignition Exchange. I haven't used it.

If you are especially interested in a time/date range picker that enforces proper intervals for historian queries or bindings, you should look at the embedded view supplied with my Tag Report Utility in the Exchange.
