# Fieldtext transparent background creates deformation

When I make a Text field with some text and set the background Color to transparent the textbox deforms when I view it in Preview mode or client mode. Is there a fix for this?

Which version are you running? I could not reproduce this in 7.6.7-rc2.

If you’re using transparency in components, I’d recommend upgrading to 7.6.7-rc3 when it comes out, or to 7.7.x. We’ve fixed a number of display issues with transparency in components in those two versions.

I have made the update to version 7.7  
The deformation problem is fixed now.
