# Forgot password. Can't renew trial period without login

Hello, I am just starting to use ignition. I am having trouble renewing the trail period and I forgot my login. How can I reset my password if I don't have admin access or if I don't have the license installed?

You can reset your password with the gateway command line utility, as long as you have access to the Ignition installation directory:
